We would like to thank the Couch Foundation in assisting us again this year to provide a quality preschool program, offering world class education right here in Thetford.
We have really added so much to our curriculum this year: a practical life activities and a Literacy area complete with sandpaper letters and metal insets. Through a generous contribution from the Couch Foundation, we decided to buy more Montessori equipment for our Math shelves. The Montessori math materials offer many opportunities for children to discover about numbers & operations and the relationships between numbers. I love this photo of one of our boys, where you can see that he is experiencing number with his entire body by carrying the number rods to his mat. The equipment provides many opportunities for active learning.
Special shoutout to Ms Retha who to date has written more than $36000 worth of grants to keep our center open and growing!
